Gold USD/ounce divided by silver USD/ounce. Quotes may have different source times; this is an indicative comparison, not a trading signal.
A troy ounce contains approximately 31.1034768 grams. We multiply the USD price per troy ounce by the daily USD/INR reference and divide by that weight to estimate rupees per gram. For gold purity, we multiply by the selected karat value divided by 24.
The daily currency reference can lag the metal quote, especially on holidays. A 22K calculation represents 22/24 of the pure gold value; actual jewellery also includes other metals and charges. Ask a jeweller for an itemised retail or buyback quote.
Local premiums, import duties, taxes and making charges are excluded. Purity certification and buyback terms can affect the amount you pay or receive. The calculator is educational and does not predict future returns.
Oil, gas and exchange futures are not covered by this feed. We will add instruments only when their source, unit and contract definitions can be displayed accurately.
